Irish independent Film and TV company beActive received more good news today, as their movie COLLIDER has been nominated for Best Digital Program: Fiction at the 2014 International Digital Emmy® Awards. It is another coup for the Irish company that was also a nominee at this month’s International Children’s Emmys with BEAT GIRL.
beActive’s most recent project, the documentary “Road to Revolution” had its debut last night in Vila do Conde (North of Portugal) with full house and a sense of “mission accomplished”.
After being presented at some of the most prestigious European Cinema Festivals in London, Geneva and Galway, COLLIDER, an Irish sci-fi movie, arrives in Ireland this January 10th.
Beat Girl gets another nomination. After being nominated for an EMMY, Beat Girl is now nominated for a Kidscreen Award as Best TV Movie. Winners will be announced Feb 11, in New York, one day after the Emmys.
‘Beat Girl’, produced by beActive and shot on location in Dublin last year, just got an Emmy nomination in the Best Series category, along with productions from Brazil, Japan and Denmark. The series is the only Irish nominee for the prestigious awards, which will take place in New York on February 2014, as announced by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at their press conference yesterday.
