Movie opens in European Theaters on May 10

beActive is producing a new multi-platform series Beat Girl. The series features a young girl’s musical self-discovery, in the exciting world of DJing, on several platforms, including a Web and TV Series, books, text columns in DJ and Dance music oriented magazines, and iPhone/iPad applications.

Beat Girl is also the first scripted series to be told on Pinterest, the new image-orientated Social Network, using photos, images and videos.

Left with nothing but a piano and debts after her mother’s death, Heather’s only option is to move in with her estranged father and half-brother. She turns to music and DJing to help her through this new stage and to make some sense out of life.

Beat Girl will also have an extended social media presence supporting the show and focused on the lead character, Heather, day-by-day experiences.
