beActive’s first feature film “The Knot” hits Irish theaters this Friday

October 4th, 2012

The Knot is an Irish/UK co-production featuring Noel Clarke and Mena Suvari.

The Knot is a “Bridesmaids meets the Hangover” romantic comedy starring a host of acting talent, including Mena Suvari (American Beauty, American Pie), Talulah Riley (St Trinian’s, Pride & Prejudice), Matthew McNulty (Misfits, Looking for Eric) Noel Clarke (Adulthood, Kidulthood) and Jason Maza (Fish Tank, Shifty).

The story focuses on engaged couple Alexandra (Talulah Riley) and Jeremy (Matthew McNulty) on the day of their wedding. At least the plan was to get married. Unfortunately for them, nonchalant best man Peter (Noel Clarke), bridesmaid Sarah (Mena Suvari) and an army of naysayers are standing in there way. Can missing bridesmaids, crashed cars, a trip to A&E, and a delivery of pig’s testicles stand in the way of true love?

Speaking in Dublin, local girl and The Knot co-producer Triona Campbell said “we are so delighted that Cineworld in Dublin stepped up and is the first cinema here to show this little gem of a movie. It’s the companies first theatrical release and we couldn’t have asked to work with better partners than Cineworld and teams at Unstoppable and New Treatment who we co-produced the film with. We really can’t wait to hear what people think of the movie and will be sneaking into the screenings in Cineworld to hear the audience feed back – it’s a really funny movie, I think people will love it and we’d encourage everyone we know in Dublin to buy a ticket and just sit back and enjoy”

The Knot opens in Cineworld Dublin on Friday October 5th which screenings at 6.30pm and 8pm daily – for more details see www.cineworld.ie
